Are you a passionate and dedicated English teacher (EFL) seeking an exciting opportunity in Maputo, Mozambique?
As an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teacher at International English College (IEC), you’ll play a pivotal role in guiding students towards English proficiency. Working exclusively with adult, professional course participants, we offer a dynamic and supportive learning environment.
In your role, you will utilize a variety of course books, materials, and audio-visual aids to facilitate communication and enhance language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Our student-centered teaching methodology emphasizes dialogue, role-playing, and interactive exercises, ensuring an immersive English language learning experience for our learners.
As an EFL teacher with IEC, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons to diverse groups,
- Providing constructive feedback on student work, both oral and written,
- Participating in training sessions to enhance teaching skills and methodologies,
- Managing administrative tasks such as maintaining student registers and attendance records.
Ideal candidates will be native English speakers with an initial teaching qualification (e.g., CELTA, CertTESOL, teaching diploma), and a professional approach to teaching. While a degree in education, English, linguistics, or modern languages is advantageous, it is not essential. Previous teaching experience is preferred.
